Don Roberts was born in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in California's Monterey Bay area, Don Roberts is a longtime Seattle resident. He has a B.A. in psychology from University of California Santa Cruz, and is a freelance copyeditor/proofreader. He is in the process of moving to Port Townsend, where he lived on first coming to Washington.

Married and the father of two young women, 17 and 19, Don finds that most of his short fiction and many of his poems are about family relationships. His work has appeared in local and regional publications, and on NPR's "Talk of the Nation." A 1999 and 2000 King County Poetry & Art on Buses poet, Don in 2001 received two first-place Washington Poets Association awards. He's putting together a chapbook and realizing that the long piece of fiction he's been wrestling with may someday grow up to be a novel.
